Zapien’s Salon brings the city to Lake Oconee with Couture for a Cure, A Retro Fashion Show by Norman Zapien & Team. All proceeds benefit the organization CURE Childhood Cancer and the Press On to CURE Fund that supports children and their families in the fight against childhood cancer.
The event will feature hair and makeup brought to you by Norman Zapien and the staff of Zapien’s Salon along with fashions from Atlanta’s NJoy Boutique and Bou-Cou Jewelry Designs. Talent Network Atlanta will showcase some of their top models andthe show’s finale will consist of a hair cutting performance by Norman Zapien himself. This event has become a community wide effort with support from Spotlight Theatres-Parkside Main 8, da Corrado Ristorante, Violet Jolie and many more who are joining the efforts towards this wonderful cause daily.

Z97 and Zapien’s Salon took an idea that started as one man’s desire to help Locks of Love to a full blown Extreme Makeover: Walt Reynolds Style by Zapien’s Salon. Friday, August 19, Z97 was at Zapien’s Salon at Lake Oconee for a live broadcast as Norman Zapien transformed Z97 On-Air Talent, Walt Reynolds. His 70’s rocker locks went to a chic, professional business style. The entire experience was documented and promoted on-air and on the Z97 and Zapien's Salon Facebook pages as well as on Z97Online.comleading up to the event. Zapien’s Salon also accepted donations to Locks of Love throughout the entire promotion.  Click Here To View Pics From the Regatta | Zapien’s Salon was at the 3rd Annual Village Cardboard Boat Regatta. The event proved to be another success as over 600 people were in attendance. Zapien Salon owner, Norman Zapien, enjoyed visiting with salons clients and newcomers who came by the booth to get airbrushed body/hair tattoos and Paris Hilton Dream Catcher Feathers for the kids; some of them even decided to go for the new feather look themselves! Norman’s love for animals is so compelling and is evident in this photo. It was a hot day so his concerned for this little pup ended with a water spray down and a doggie up do. Over 200 gift bags were distributed filled with samples of products from J Beverly Hills. The entire day was filled with excitement and lots of fun. The Zapien’s staff was amazing and made this event a tremendous success. See you at the Regatta again next year!
